Building Pathology Case Study 1
Building pathology, defects diagnosis, expert witness and mediation
Commercial Management company, Blackburn
Blocks A & B Calderdale Park, Halifax, Yorkshire
The commission involved two 3 storey residential apartment blocks constructed around 2006/07 and comprised upwards of 48 apartments.
The blocks consisted of timber framed construction with outer wallls of locally sourced stone. The roofs were pitched with hip ends and covered with natural looking slate effect tiles.
MayZ was retained and asked to inspect and review the defects associated with the roofs, external walls and represented the client, a commercial property management company in later mediation action over recovery of damages and loss arising from delays in occupation of the premises.
